I Love You

Three Days, Three Crosses, Three Words, One Way

three crosses

The gospel message is the most powerful message you will ever hear. Three days is all it took, for God to change our lives forever. Jesus died upon the cross, was buried and resurrected all in three days. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all give an account; however, it can be summed up in three words, “I LOVE YOU.” (John 3:16)

The power of the cross, and the message that it sends to the world, is what this Easter weekend is all about. All the sin we could ever commit was placed on his shoulders, and left on the cross; where death was conquered forever. Christ became sin for us, and paid the debts that we could not pay ourselves, so we might live freely. We now can live in eternity with Jesus, through his forgiveness. But we have a choice – Our way, or His way. There is no middle ground, only one way.

Three crosses. Christ in the middle, and two sinners on each side. Each given the same portion of grace, but only one accepted him. It is a great depiction of the world we live in today. There is no middle ground, you are either for Christ, or Anti Christ. There is only one way to heaven, and that is through Jesus. (Acts 4:12)

When you take communion this Sunday, remember the sacrifice that God has given for us. He requires nothing from us, just that we accept the grace that is freely given. (Romans 5:15) There is no greater love than to lay ones life down for his friends. (John 15:13) After the death of Jesus, the veil was torn in two, so that God could be reunited with His children once again.   No matter what you’ve done, He took on EVERY sin and even every disease.  By His stripes we are healed.  (1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5) If we repent of our sins, accept His forgiveness, and allow Jesus to mold our lives into something beautiful, we will live in eternity with Him. That is the power of the cross.  Jesus is saying, “I Love You.”  Written in red.

“Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God. – Matthew 27:50-54
