Who are you voting for in the upcoming presidential election? From the polls, it would seem Trump is a popular vote. Do you really want this man as your president? With his hasty words and foolish debates. I hear more bashing in these debates, and popularity contests, than actual concern for our worldly issues. And that’s basically it, “Worldly Issues.” God knew we would have problems in this world of sin. It would never be completely conquered until the day Christ returns. But we do have a responsibility of praying over our votes, and TO VOTE.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33
The warnings in Proverbs are strong: “Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him” (Prov. 29:20). “A fool utters all his mind, but a wise man keeps it in until afterwards” (Prov. 29:11). – Excerpt from Charismanews.com
All throughout the bible we read verses talking about when the trump of God will sound. A sign of the end times, a warning we must heed. I certainly do not believe that God was referring to the highly publicized Donald Trump; however, I am certain when Trump speaks, it is sound enough, that America is in trouble. Sure sure, there were many characters in the bible who were not worthy of a, “King Like,” position; yet, God chose them. But I really do not believe Trump would be God’s chosen one. In fact, maybe God would choose none of the candidates, but we don’t live in a Godly world.
In any case, in the running for who will make the decisions on the worldly issues we face, I guess we aren’t voting for a pastor, we are voting for a president. I’m certain neither of them are perfect as no one is, and being unsure of their religious backgrounds, maybe none of them are Christians or hold the moral beliefs that a Christian does. But that’s the world we live in.
Things will wane worse toward the end (2 Timothy 3:13) with false prophets and ungodly leaders, so all we can do as the body of Christ is pray for the people in leadership, vote for the least of the heathen, and pray for the world we live in, until the day Christ returns and the government is no longer.
The Toronto Star States: “Trump as president not worst risk world is facing, report says
International risk monitor finds Trump presidency to represent similar threat level as that of jihadi terror, but not as serious as sudden economic slowdown in China or onset of new Cold War between Russia and West.”
I’m not an American so I’m really unsure who I would vote for; however, I’m certain I would not vote for Trump. This does affect Canada as well and the world, so I will certainly be sending up prayers for the upcoming election, and hey lets pray for Donald Trump. Someone has to. Here is an article I found from Charisma News on why Christians should not vote for Trump:
