Transcendent Love

On this planet we all long for love, love that can transcend the dimensions of time and space; quite a phenomenon.  God’s love goes beyond all physical laws, and is completely unconditional.  Here on earth we operate on time and all things relative.  We live by our emotions, which can be fleeting like the wind.  God loves beyond all things, He goes deeper.

“And to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”  – Ephesians 3:19

God’s love is the only thing that can transcend time and space.  God doesn’t operate on time, like we do here on earth.  The bible says that a thousand years are like a day to God.  None of us will live to see a thousand years, I can’t even imagine it.  One hundred years on this earth can seem long enough.  It’s like a lifetime.  But God’s time is much different than ours, quite a mystery to ponder.

“But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. – 2 Peter 3:8

Since God doesn’t operate on time He can see the beginning of time and the end.  The bible says He is the beginning and the end.  (Revelation 22:13)

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” –  Ecclesiastes 3:11

God could take us out if He wanted to, but He has a plan.  The saying, “I brought you into this world, and I can take you back out,” is a very common one.  But God is extremely patient, and wants us to be successful in life.  It may seem like a decade waiting for an answer to prayer, or a miracle, but God always answers, and is always on time.  Time is a gift.

Physics was never one of my best subjects in school; I could never quite wrap my brain around it all.  Thankfully God has already gone ahead and taken care of everything for me.  To try and figure everything out could cause one to go crazy.  We simply need to have faith in what we can’t see.   We are never meant to see the future, because it will cause us to forget to live for today.  Jesus came that we might have life, and be able to live it to the fullest.   (John 10:10)
